A Two-Round Optimization Design Method for Aerostatic Spindles Considering the Fluid–Structure Interaction Effect

The fluid–structure interaction (FSI) effect has a significant impact on the static and dynamic performance of aerostatic spindles, which should be fully considered when developing new product. To enhance overall two-round optimization design method for spindles considering FSI is proposed in this article. An spindle optimized to elaborate procedure method. In first-round design, geometrical parameters bearing were improve its stiffness. Then, key structural dimension second-round natural frequency spindle. Finally, optimal are acquired experimentally verified. This research guides effect.
